Vitamin B Complex

Nicotinamide (or vitamin PP or B3) derives from nicotinic acid (another form of vitamin PP) by amidation. Nicotinamide is the precursor of two biological derivatives: NAD (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) and NADP (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate).
Nicotinamide is used in the management of vitamin PP deficiencies and supplements.

Contributes:

  • to normal energy metabolism,
  • the normal functioning of the nervous system,
  • the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes,
  • to normal physiological functions,
  • to the reduction of fatigue,

Pantothenic acid

Pantothenic acid, or vitamin B5, is essential for the production of energy in cells, the transport of oxygen in the blood, as well as the synthesis of fatty acids, cholesterol and sex hormones. Vitamin B5 is both provided by food and produced by the intestinal flora.

Contributes:

  • to normal energy metabolism,
  • with normal intellectual capacities,
  • the synthesis of steroid hormones (stress hormones and sex hormones), vitamin D and certain brain chemical messengers (neurotransmitters),
  • to the reduction of fatigue,

Vitamin B2 helps protect cells against oxidative stress.

Riboflavin, or vitamin B2, is necessary for the synthesis of two enzymes involved in energy production and nutrient utilization. These enzymes also protect the cells from aggressive substances (oxidants) produced during the chemical reactions of metabolism.

Contributes:

  • to normal energy metabolism,
  • the normal functioning of the nervous system,
  • the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes,
  • with normal vision,
  • the maintenance of normal red blood cells,
  • to normal iron metabolism,
  • to the reduction of fatigue,
  • the protection of cells against free radicals (antioxidant effect),

Vitamin B6 contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system

The term vitamin B6 refers to a family of six substances, the most commonly used of which is pyridoxine. Vitamin B6 is involved in the metabolism of amino acids and glycogen as well as in the synthesis of DNA (genes), hemoglobin, which carries oxygen in the blood, and many chemical messengers in the brain.

Contributes:

  • to normal energy metabolism,
  • the normal functioning of the nervous system,
  • normal cysteine synthesis and normal homocysteine metabolism,
  • to the reduction of fatigue,
  • normal cysteine synthesis and normal homocysteine metabolism,
  • to normal mental functions,
  • to the formation of red blood cells,
  • the normal functioning of the immune system,
  • to the regulation of hormonal activity,

Vitamin B1

Thiamine, orvitamin B1, is involved in the transformation of glucose into energy and in the metabolismof amino acids. It is essential to the functioning of the nervous system and seems essential for memorization as well as intellectual faculties.

Contributes:

  • to normal energy metabolism,
  • to the normal functioning of the heart,
  • normal functioning of the nervous system and normal intellectual abilities,

Folic acid helps reduce fatigue and normal functioning of the immune system

Folic acid, also called vitamin B9 or vitamin M, is represented in foods in the form of polyglutamates, also called folate. Folic acid and folate are essential for cell multiplication and the regulation of gene activity. They participate in the production of red and white blood cells, in the renewal of the skin and the wall of the intestine, as well as in the synthesis of chemical substances that modulate the functioning of the brain. At the very beginning of pregnancy, folate is essential for the development of the nervous system of the embryo.

Contributes:

  • the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy,
  • to normal amino acid metabolism,
  • the formation of blood cells,
  • to normal amino acid metabolism,
  • the normal functioning of the immune system,
  • to the reduction of fatigue,
  • to normal mental functions,
  • to cell division,

Biotin

Biotin or vitamin B8, also known as vitamin H or B7, plays an essential role in the production of energy from nutrients, as well as in the synthesis of fatty acids and amino acids. It is both provided by food and produced by the intestinal flora.

Contributes:

  • to normal energy metabolism,
  • the normal functioning of the nervous system,
  • the maintenance of normal hair, skin and mucous membranes,
  • normal food metabolism,
  • to normal mental functions,

Vitamin B12 contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and to reduce fatigue

Under the name of vitamin B12, we designate a family of substances of which the most used is cyanocobalamin. These vitamins, of a bright red color, contain cobalt. In combination with folate, vitamin B12 is involved in the synthesis of DNAand fatty acids, in the production of energy inside cells and in the functioning of the nervous system. It is provided both by food and by the intestinal flora. In the body, it is stored mainly in the liver.

Contributes:

  • to normal energy metabolism,
  • the normal functioning of the nervous system,
  • normal homocysteine metabolism,
  • to normal mental functions,
  • to the formation of red blood cells,
  • to the reduction of fatigue,
  • the normal functioning of the immune system,
  • to cell division,

EFSA, European Food Safety Authority and the European Commission have spoken out on certain health claims of foods and food supplements. After reviewing the scientific data, they have concluded that the ingredients in this product can claim to contribute to the above effects.
